This past weekend, Halo LAX hosted the 6onLAX Florida Go For The Gold Tournament and welcomed Lax Maniax as the club host for the event.

This tournament hosted 23 teams and was held at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, FL. Because of the unique play style, this tournament was designed to allow participation, while demonstrating individual skills and teamwork.

Joe Caputo, Halo LAX Event Manager, shared his enthusiasm on the success of the tournament. He said “Players, parents and coaches all expressed their excitement for the fast-paced game and the smaller roster sizes that allowed more playing time and touches for all the kids.”

Overall, the tournament consisted of 36 games played, and welcomed girls middle/high school divisions and boys high school divisions. In addition, there were over 500 spectators, 225 players, and 55 coaches over the course of the weekend.

Halo LAX will be hosting 8 more 6onLAX events this season, as well as other tournaments and showcases. These showcases will give players a chance to get in front of D2 and D3 coaches, leading to potential recruitment.
